It’s always fun looking back over a year of work for these posts. It was no different this year as I chose my best photos of 2019. Doing this allowed me to reflect on the growth and change in my business, and although it was hard, this reflection has me feeling all kinds of proud.
Andreas and Zoë’s wedding at The Estate at New Albany was the perfect fall wedding, and the perfect ending to a great wedding season! From their beer-and-adventure-focused engagement session to their love-soaked wedding to their laughter-filled photo reveal, we’ve been so lucky to be a part of so many special moments with them, and each one has felt like home.
Intimate weddings are what I LIVE FOR. Maybe it’s because I had an intimate wedding myself. Or, maybe it’s because I’m able to fully immerse myself into the event and capture so much more love, energy, and excitement throughout the day. And, this is exactly what happened at Amanda and Edward’s intimate wedding at The Exchange at Bridge Park.
Kaitlynn and Tim are the kind of clients I dream about. They are so kind and considerate and genuinely interested in us as people. They’re fun and adventurous and don’t take themselves too seriously. They love each other, their friends, and their family so hard. And, (bonus!), they truly value photography and are so grateful for the experience we’ve provided for them. THIS is why we do what we do.
Backyard weddings have a certain kind of energy. It’s more than the normal wedding day hustle. More than the normal wedding day excitement. More than the normal wedding day happiness. There’s an extra ounce of love, comfort, and happiness present when you’re getting married in your childhood home. It can be felt from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. And, it’s absolutely contagious.
