Our Wedding in Big Sur, California

Two years ago today, I married the man of my dreams.

Some of you know Antonio as my husband. Some of you know him as your friend. Some of you know him as my kickass second shooter, photo assistant, and business partner. But I think all of you know him as a kind, considerate, funny, warm, friendly person who shines a light so bright that you just can’t help but love him.

And, I’m so incredibly lucky to love him.

We married on 6.26.18 in a private vineyard nestled in a valley among the mountains of California’s Big Sur area. It was an intimate wedding, with only 30 of our closest family and friends in attendance. Our ceremony was beneath palm trees surrounded by grape vines. Our cocktail hour was beneath a giant oak tree. Our dinner was at a kings table set up beautifully next to grape vines and olive trees. Our reception was beneath the glittering string lights of the guest house. All of it was so beautiful and impossible to describe with words.

It was 100% perfect. And although it wasn’t what we had originally planned, it was everything we dreamed of.

Today, on our two year anniversary (seriously…how has it been that long already?!), I’m feeling some serious nostalgia. I’m so grateful for everyone who traveled all the way to California to be with us. So grateful for everyone’s understanding when we had to cancel our original wedding in Puerto Rico, leaving everyone scrambling to cancel and change their own plans. So grateful for my family who helped us organize and set up and tear down and clean up. So grateful for everyone who took time out of their vacation to join us in salsa dancing and whale watching activities. So grateful for the wonderful vendors who helped make our dreams a reality.

And, ever so grateful for Antonio. The man of my dreams. The man who makes me happier than I ever imagined. The man who supports me, my business, my crazy ideas, my need for travel, my endless house to-do lists. The man who is being so supportive during our battle with infertility, wiping tears, handling hormone-induced emotions, administering injections, dealing with finances, taking endless vitamins and supplements, and even doing acupuncture with me. The man who is the best papi to our pup and who I know will be the best papi to our future child. The man I waited for my whole life and who I will spend the rest of my life loving.

Antonio, thank you for five wonderful years of love and two amazing years of marriage. I look forward to all of the adventures and excitement our eternity together will bring. Te amo mas, mi amor.

Here are a few of my favorite photos and memories from our week along the California coast and our wedding in Big Sur.

Shoutout to our amazing vendor team, without whom our wedding in Big Sur would not have been possible.
