2020 has been the year of the intimate, backyard wedding and I’m here for it. I’m pretty sure I’ve told Antonio 8,189,477 times that if I could shoot only backyard weddings for the rest of my life, I’d be happy. And if they all were as beautiful as Kayla and Britt’s, I’d be ecstatic.
Sarah & Ian’s wedding at COSI was my first “big” wedding of the year (thanks, COVID) and it was everything I’ve been missing in 2020. The couple, the wedding party, the location, the vendors, the weather, I mean it was ALL perfect and it brought me back to a sense of normalcy as a wedding photographer. Much needed!
Ohhhhhhh hot dang. It feels like forever since I’ve been able to share a wedding blog post! I mean, it has been about 9 months, which for a wedding photographer is an unusually long time. Damn COVID. So, I’m so so so so excited to share Chris and Sarah’s TWO weddings with you! Yes, I said two. Read on for double the fun!
It’s always fun looking back over a year of work for these posts. It was no different this year as I chose my best photos of 2019. Doing this allowed me to reflect on the growth and change in my business, and although it was hard, this reflection has me feeling all kinds of proud.
Andreas and Zoë’s wedding at The Estate at New Albany was the perfect fall wedding, and the perfect ending to a great wedding season! From their beer-and-adventure-focused engagement session to their love-soaked wedding to their laughter-filled photo reveal, we’ve been so lucky to be a part of so many special moments with them, and each one has felt like home.
