Morgan and Colin’s intimate wedding at The Fig Room was our last wedding of 2021 and I can’t think of any better way to close out the chaotic 2021 wedding season. It was intimate, romantic, beautiful, and just perfect. And the fact that Morgan and Colin and their families are so wonderful was just icing on the cake. It was the absolute best way to end the year and I’m so thankful it worked out this way!
We started the day with Morgan while she got ready before heading outside for some gorgeous bridal photos in downtown Columbus. She was a CHAMP in that cold! Once we got to the venue, we met up with Colin for some groom’s portraits before getting ready for the ceremony.
Their intimate ceremony was so perfect. A string quartet set the mood, and a good friend officiated. Apparently it was her first ceremony, but I can confidently say that it was one of the most memorable and meaningful ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed (and I’ve photographed at least 200 weddings by now!).
After the ceremony, Morgan, Colin, Antonio, and I went out for portraits around The Fig Room. We did a few inside Brassica, since that’s where they had their first date. Then, we used the alleyways around The Fig Room for the perfect brick and industrial background. We even found a gorgeous line of trees full of oranges, reds, and yellows – all the fall colors. And we wrapped up the portraits in the best way – by stumbling upon a group of partygoers who made for a hilarious celebratory photo.
The rest of the evening was full of delicious food (seriously one of the best wedding meals we’ve had and definitely one of the best cakes), lots of laughs (and some tears!), and some epic dance moves. It was perfect.
Morgan and Colin, thanks so much for sharing this with us. We adore you and your families and are so happy to have been a part of it. Wishing you a lifetime of love, good food, and lots of puppy snuggles.
