Kyla and Charlie’s Delaware, Ohio engagement photos were PERFECTION. These sun-soaked, giggle-filled, puppy-lovin’ photos are some of my favorite engagement photos of the year, so far. Plus, shooting in a new location is always a fun time!

Kyla and Charlie met during their freshman year of college at Ohio Northern University. They were pretty fast friends, and hung out regularly for the next few years. Eventually, they became official when Charlie asked Kyla to join him for dinner at Cheddar’s. That was their first official date (and has a pretty entertaining story to go along with it!).

After becoming official, they supported each other through pharmacy school and moved together to Delaware (hence the Delaware, Ohio engagement photos!). Then, on a holiday visit to Charlie’s family in New York, Charlie popped the question. Charlie asked Kyla and their pup, Sammy, to go for a walk to look at the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. And there, beneath the gorgeous lights, Charlie asked Kyla to marry him. They spent the rest of the night celebrating their engagement (and Christmas) with Charlie’s family. So sweet!

Kyla and Charlie will be getting married next spring at one of my favorite venues – The Estate at New Albany. They’re planning a romantic indoor ceremony with two officiants in order to combine both of their religious denominations – so cool! Their wedding colors of blush and marsala will be the gorgeous complement to their romantic spring wedding!
