Jaime & Scott | Married

Jaime and Scott’s Bluestone wedding was quite the epic event.  The gorgeous venue and super cool couple made this music themed wedding a total success.

Their Story

In true music lovers fashion, Jaime and Scott met while Scott was performing with his band.  After hitting it off at that performance, the two spent the next 11 years committed to each other before getting engaged.  Just like how they met and how they got married, their engagement was tied to music, as well.

They just finished a day of Christmas decorating and sat down with a couple of drinks and The Beatles (my fav) to make their Christmas lists.  All of a sudden, Scott stood up and walked out of the room.  Jaime immediately became annoyed because, as those who know her know, she loves making lists and didn’t appreciate Scott just walking out in the middle of this list making session.  Who does he think he is?! 😉  Apparently, it was for a good reason because when he returned, he had a ring in his hand, he got down on one knee, and said the sweetest thing I’ve heard.  “Jaime, I know how you feel about marriage.  I’m not asking you to marry me.  I’m asking you to be my family.”

Although Jaime didn’t care to be married and thought she might never get married, she immediately said yes.  And that is how their Bluestone wedding came to be.

Their Bluestone Wedding

Jaime and Scott’s wedding took place at The Bluestone, a historic church that has been transformed into an event space and concert hall.  The designers kept much of the original architecture of the church, including massive stained glass windows, a balcony, and a beautiful archway and door at the entrance of the building.  These architectural elements are one of the many reasons why The Bluestone is such a sought after space for weddings, and the main reason why I had been dying to photograph a wedding there for as long as I can remember.

I truly believe Jaime and Scott’s Bluestone wedding was the best introduction to the space that I could’ve imagined.  Since Scott is a musician and they share a love for music, they themed their wedding around music.  The “table numbers” were names of some of their favorite bands, they had live music performances (Scott even brought his own guitar, on which I obviously created a pretty epic shot of their wedding rings!), and they utilized the venue’s concert lighting to create some pretty epic lighting during the reception.  It was seriously an off-camera flash photographer’s dream!

Here are a few of my favorites from Jaime and Scott’s Bluestone wedding!
