You all remember Alexis and Dexter, right?! The super sweet, super smart couple who played in the rain with us for their engagement photos? Well, they finally got married, and it was the best day ever! And it felt so good to have another wedding at The New Albany Estate!

It was a hot, humid, sunny summer day (quite the opposite of their chilly, rainy fall engagement photos). We started the day with learning how to tie bowties through YouTube videos, a few games of pool, and champagne during hair and makeup.

Alexis and Dexter had the sweetest first look ever. Before seeing each other, they stood back to back and read handwritten love letters to each other. I’m pretty sure Dexter cried all the tears. After reading, they turned around to see each other for the first time. And, of course, even more tears were shed (even I shed a few!).

They had a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by so many friends and family. And, after, they celebrated it all on the dance floor all night long. I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure everyone there was a professional dancer. These people TORE UP the dance floor. Even grandma got down! You all know I love a good dance party, so this was definitely my favorite part of the day.

Alexis and Dexter, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your celebration and your lives. You’re both such incredible sources of inspiration, both together and individually. My wish for you is many, MANY years of laughter, happy tears, dance-offs, political discussions, and pure, true love.
