Caitlin and Jason‘s High Line Car House wedding was seriously a dream come true. I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous heading into the day. The weather was projected to be approximately 700 degrees and full sun. The timeline was tight with lots of hopping around to different locations. And, large bridal parties can sometimes be as easy as herding cats.
BUT….
All of this turned out to be wonderful (except maybe the 700 degree weather haha). All of the locations Caitlin and Jason chose were perfect for each part of the day. And, the bridal party? OMG THE BRIDAL PARTY.
They were so kind, funny, helpful, caring, and all the other wonderful things. They made me laugh so much. They offered help with carrying bags, throwing dresses, holding flowers, and wrangling people. They went along with all of my photo ideas. They didn’t complain (too much) about the weather, despite dripping sweat and squinty eyes. And they absolutely TORE UP the dance floor (as evidenced in the photos at the end of the post). They were so wonderful. Caitlin and Jason are so lucky to have people like them by their side.
We started the day at Caitlin and Jason’s home in German Village. Jason and his guys spent the morning hanging out in their basketball jerseys while eating pizza and drinking beer. #goals
After hanging with the guys for awhile, we met up with Caitlin and her ladies. I photographed her beautiful dress and bridal details before spending some time with them while they got ready.
When Caitlin was photo ready, we made our way to Genoa Park for Caitlin and Jason’s first look. I freaking loved having the city as the backdrop for one of my favorite parts of the day.
After a few photos along the river, we decided to find shade in the Brewery District. The rustic-urban vibe was the PERFECT place for photos. It complemented perfectly their German Village life and High Line Car House wedding.
Finally, we made our way to High Line Car House to make it all official. Caitlin and Jason’s beautiful ceremony was followed by one hell of a party. As I said earlier, their friends and family absolutely killed the dance floor, making for some excellent photo opps.
High five for that epic party!
