When I met with Leigh & Brandon last summer, I knew we were perfect for each other. Leigh is so sweet and beautiful, Brandon has a Peruvian background (my favorite place in the world!), and their wedding was being planned for High Line Car House (my favorite place in Columbus!). It was definitely love at first sight on my end 😉
Their Engagement
Leigh and Brandon have the most perfect engagement story. Summer of 2015, the shores of Amelia Island. They were celebrating Brandon’s completion of grad school and their ability to finally live in the same city after 6 years of long-distance. One night, after a delicious dinner, they headed to the beach to watch the waves roll in. Brandon then hands Leigh a gift, and upon opening it, Leigh realized that Brandon had made her a scrapbook full of all of their memories together. There were photos, letters, and keepsakes that spanned their relationship since high school. As Leigh flipped through the scrapbook, Brandon played a playlist that he created just for her. When she got to the end of the book, the song “Marry Me” by Train came on and Brandon got down on one knee to pop the question.
I mean, seriously, the PERFECT engagement story. High five for Brandon!

Their Wedding Day
Leigh and Brandon not only have the perfect engagement story, but they also had the perfect wedding.
Leigh chose to get ready in the home where she grew up. It was the perfect place to document her laughing and reminiscing with her sisters, bridesmaids, and parents. She even chose to put her dress on and see her dad for the first time in her childhood bedroom.
The Ceremony – All Saints Lutheran Church
Leigh and Brandon’s ceremony was held at All Saints Lutheran Church in Worthington. This church is stunning, with beautiful stained glass windows surrounding the sanctuary and wooden beams running throughout the arched ceiling. To top it off, they hired a string quartet to play the songs that were on Brandon’s proposal playlist. It was beautiful.
After the ceremony, we hopped on board the Trolley and rode around the Brewery District, stopping for photos in random alleys, Kroger parking lots, and parking garages. Exploring the city with my couples is one of my favorite things to do!
The Reception – High Line Car House
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: High Line Car House is my favorite venue in Columbus. It’s a beautiful, rustic chic location downtown that provides easy access to great photo locations, a gorgeous set up, delicious food, and a staff that is so wonderful to work with.
Yet again, High Line did not disappoint. From the beautiful table arrangements with a long center table for the bridal party to the delicious meal to the friendly and accommodating staff, everything was perfect. If I could shoot all of my weddings I High Line Car House, I totally would!
Leigh and Brandon, thank you for sharing your perfect story and your perfect day with me. I wish you a lifetime of love, adventure, and laughter!
xoxo,
Erica
