I absolutely love Walnut Woods Metro Park. It’s such a hidden gem and one of my new favorite places to shoot. I especially love the Tall Pines area, so when Sierra and Danielle said they wanted to do their engagement photos at Walnut Woods, I was so excited! Once you see these photos, you’ll understand why!

Let’s take it all the way back to August of 2013, when Danielle and Sierra both attended a National Pro Fastpitch game in Akron. During the game, Danielle spotted Sierra and “just instantly knew that she was the one.” After some Twitter stalking, they became best friends and spent a few years navigating life as friends and support people – from afar. After officially meeting over a year later, they began dating and the rest is history.

Fast forward to April of 2021 when Danielle bought Sierra’s engagement ring. For the next five months, Sierra slept in the same room as her ring. The day after Sierra took a very stressful and important board exam, Danielle planned a day to celebrate. They went to the Cleveland script sign, First Energy Stadium and the Pro Shop, walked around the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, and then went to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium before visiting Lake Erie Bluffs. According to Danielle, the walk up the steps to the viewpoint at Lake Erie Bluffs felt like an eternity. Once they got up to the top, Danielle fumbled around to get the ring while Sierra was enjoying the view taking pictures. Then, Danielle got down on one knee and asked her to marry her. Sierra, of course, said yes!

Alllll of that brought us here to this moment, celebrating their engagement together with their engagement photos at Walnut Woods Tall Pines. Next up, their gorgeous fall 2023 wedding, which will happen exactly two years after the day they got engaged! We can’t wait to celebrate with them!
