Megan + Adam are such amazing people. From the moment we first met, I knew these two were my type of people. They’re kind, genuine, and real. And, to top it off, they’re hilarious. This was made even more obvious to me while photographing their sweet dance moves during their reception at Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center. I can usually contain my dancing desires at weddings, but this one got the best of me. I’ll admit that I shook my booty a time or two at this one 😉
Their Story
Interestingly enough, Megan + Adam met on match.com! They’re living proof that dating websites work 😉 After dating for a while, Adam proposed to Megan while they were vacationing on St. Thomas. They took a walk to the top of the mountain overlooking Magan’s Bay and Adam asked his sister to take a picture of them. While she was taking the picture, Adam pulled out the ring and proposed. How’s that for a love story?!
Their Wedding
As far as 2016 weddings go, I have to say this is one of my favorites. Megan + Adam’s southern themed ceremony was held at Liberty Presbyterian Church with the reception at Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center. Both locations fit in perfectly with the southern theme, especially since the church (one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, by the way) was built by the Amish and made completely of raw wood and Nationwide is home to several victorian-inspired buildings that boast beautiful columns, wrap around porches, and brick roads. The only thing missing from the southern scene were the giant oak trees drenched in Spanish moss that adorn the southern countryside.
In addition to the beautiful locations, Megan wore a stunning dress that made her look like the epitome of a southern belle. The dinner was southern themed as well and included some of my favorite dishes such as shrimp + grits and chicken + waffles. There was also a sweet tea and lemonade bar. All of this combined with Adam’s southern charm and accent left me feeling like I had relocated to South Carolina!
Megan + Adam: Thank you for sharing your engagement and wedding with me. You two are wonderful and I’m so sad our time together is almost over. I wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, dance parties, and adventures!
