The Couple:

These two seriously are some of the loves of my life. I’ve only known them for a year or so, but I seriously feel like I’ve known them forever! Katy and Dennis: I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and follow your love and adventures from afar. Here’s hoping that I get to continue to share in those adventures for many years to come!

The Engagement:

How’s this for an adorable proposal story, as told by Katy?!

“Dennis planned a weekend in February in NYC just to get away. He planned to do it on the High Line in Lower Manhattan, but it poured freezing rain. I didn’t realize all this, of course. We went to this weird tiki/punk rock bar called the Shrunken Head after dinner in the East Village. We’d been there before and like it for it’s quirky mixed drinks and fun people watching. There is also an antique photo booth that prints out black and white sheets. We got in the photo booth to take pictures and he proposed. It’s awesome because we have pictures of the moment, but we were alone.”

The Wedding:

Dennis & Katy’s super adorable DIY wedding at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park in Columbus, Ohio was seriously one of the highlights of my career! This sweet, hilarious, and so-in-love couple not only know how to work my camera, but they also have some seriously great DIY decorating and design skills, beautiful taste, amazing friends and family, and a sense of fun that matches mine perfectly 🙂 I had been looking forward to this wedding for about a year and the day definitely didn’t disappoint. From the beautiful weather to the great locations (THE Ohio State University, a local bar, etc.) to the decor to the party to the surprise visit by Brutus at the reception, the day was perfect in every way. Here are some of my favs from their BEAUTIFUL day 🙂
