Wedding at Lashutka Event Center: Jessica & Ali

Jessica and Ali’s wedding at Lashutka Event Center was all the things I loved about our 2020 weddings…intimate, beautiful, sweet, full of delicious food, and all about their dog! 😉 No, but seriously, it reminded me so much of some of my favorite weddings of all time, most of which were in 2020. There’s something so special about small weddings (which is why we had one ourselves!). The intimate nature of small weddings allow for much more emotion, quality time, and flexibility throughout the day. I absolutely love them, and Jessica and Ali‘s wedding was no different.

We started the day with Jessica getting ready at their home with her parents and grandma and Ali getting ready at his parents’ home with his sister and parents. The rest of the day was spent at Lashutka Event Center, a cute little hidden gem along the Olentangy River. It’s really the perfect venue for small weddings and events.

Not only did I love the intimate vibe of their wedding, but there were so many other elements that stood out to me. Some of the highlights of their day include:

A first look in a gorgeous, sun-soaked spot. Their best dude (their pup) included in EVERYTHING…the first look, portraits, the ceremony, even their first dance. The most delicious, creative, beautiful food, artfully created by Chef Jeff. Delicious custom cookies by my dear friend and former wedding client/current commercial client Bakes by Lo. A small, simple reception with only a cake cutting, first dance, parent dances, and a few speeches. The awesome planning and coordination team – Ericka Greene Events – who not only coordinated the perfect day, but also created all the beautiful floral accents, including the ceremony arch and bouquets.

Jessica and Ali, thank you so much for choosing us to share in your beautiful day. You knew just what we needed during this busy, wild, unusual wedding season! We wish you a life full of puppy snuggles, exploring the world, and delicious food!
