If I had to choose three words to describe Jena and Joe, those words would be: sweet, attentive, and trusting.  From the moment I met them, I knew that we’d be a good fit.  Jena’s mom is a photographer and has passed down a lot of that knowledge to Jena (which came in handy during their Columbus engagement photos when I desperately needed to rig my light somewhere and Jena came to the rescue!).  So, the simple fact that they trust ME to document their love is a huge honor.  It’s a lot of pressure to photograph another photographer (or in this case, a photographer’s daughter), but I think I’m up for the challenge!

Their Story

Jena and Joe actually met online!  I’ve had a few “online” couples and always love the serendipitous way this love happens.  After meeting online, they had their first date at Buffalo Wings and Rings.  “Nice and casual,” as Jena described it.  A perfect description of their first date AND their relationship.  I like to think that’s also a good description for their engagement session…

Their Columbus Engagement Photos

Jena and Joe’s Columbus engagement photos took us to the Scioto Mile, Franklinton, and the Columbus Park of Roses.  It was definitely one of those diverse, beautiful sessions that I love.  It’s always nice to be able to hit up multiple locations in a single session, giving me a variety of environments to work with, while giving the couple a variety of “looks” in their photos.  It’s the best of both worlds!  And, the icing on the cake?!  We had a GORGEOUS golden hour with beautiful, warm sunlight that wrapped them up just perfectly.  It was lovely.
