It was so great catching up with these two crazy kids during their engagement session at Eden Park and the Cincinnati Art Museum last weekend. I went to high school with Bill and Amy, and in fact, Bill and I used to dominate the accounting and business world at LHS in our accounting class and FBLA. We even took 1st (Bill) and 2nd (me) places at a state FBLA competition. *dusts shoulder off*
So, anyway, like I said, it was great catching up with them. We chatted about the old days at LHS, wedding planning (duh), Bill’s impromptu photography skills as he captured a proposal for a random couple a few days prior, Amy’s superb design skills, hiking and biking (and the severity of my out-of-shape-ness), and much, much more. But, you want to know the best part?! I got to hang out with cats. If you know me even just a tiny bit, you know how I feel about four-legged-furry-things. And, you know that’s always my favorite part of a shoot. (Sorry humans….I love you, but I love my furry friends more! Although, my clients come in at a VERY CLOSE second.)
We started the session at Amy and Bill’s fabulous Mount Adams apartment with the aforementioned critters. As you can see, those little guys were NOT camera shy AT ALL. That’s model material, right there. Oh yeah, and Amy and Bill looked pretty good, too 😉 After getting some amazing shots in their super stylish living room with the kitties, we ventured out for a walk (cough cough hike) around Eden Park. Our journey led us to some beautiful trees full of vibrant, purple blooms. The purple and green in the trees looked fantastic with Amy’s bright orange jacket and Bill’s mint green tie. Our next stop was in a field of little whitish flowers, and I, of course, couldn’t resist making them sit in them. I mean, who doesn’t want to sit in a field of beautiful flowers?!
(P.S. Shout out to the young, budding photographer who helped me out by holding the diffuser for me during the field of flowers shot. You rock, kid! Best of luck in your photography journey!)
We wrapped up the session at the very spot where Bill proposed to Amy. The grand entrance to the Cincinnati Art Museum provided the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos, in terms of visual appeal and significance to their relationship. Isn’t this just perfect?!
