Whether we’re running around Ohio State’s campus or climbing trees at WatersEdge, Allison and Michael are the epitome of happiness. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Allison without her big beautiful smile, and I can’t remember a time when Michael wasn’t laughing about something. They’re just one of those couples that exudes happiness and love. One of those couples who can brighten your day just by flashing those pearly whites or telling you a joke. The type of couple that doesn’t make my job feel like work.

Their Engagement

Allison Michael’s love story is a tale as old as time. Girl meets guy. Guy asks for number. They live happily ever after. These two met a few years ago while Allison worked as a server at a restaurant in which Michael was a regular. After getting to know each other over alcoholic beverages and silverware rolling, Michael finally worked up the courage to ask Allison for her number. The rest is history…

Their Proposal

One of my favorite things is when couples incorporate their children into their proposal. This is the case with Allison and Michael.

Their first date night after their son was born was spent at Funny Bone, where they had their first date. After the show, they headed home to spend the evening with their little family. Shortly after arriving home, Michael’s older son walked up to Allison and said “Allison, will you marry my dad?” In shock, Allison turned around to see Michael on one knee with a ring in his hand. According to Allison, she “could not have asked for anything more perfect!”

Their Wedding at WatersEdge

Allison and Michael held their wedding and reception at the newly renovated WatersEdge Event & Conference Center in Hilliard, Ohio. This venue boasts a beautiful pond and fountain, which was the perfect backdrop to their ceremony. The reception was held inside, under the beautiful, wood-lined vaulted ceilings. With a view over the pond during sunset, this venue is the perfect place for couples looking to host a rustic and beautiful event.
