Andreas and Zoë’s Grandview engagement photos were so perfectly “them.” They giggled over beers at Hofbrauhaus. They hiked through a hidden park in Grandview. They cuddled, laughed, and whispered ridiculous things to each other (eliciting epic facial expressions…my fav). We got to know each other, talked about all things life, and shared a delicious German dinner together afterwards. It was perfect!
Their Story
Zoë and Andreas met in Wooster when Zoë had to contract a video for a fundraising campaign she was working on. Andreas was on the operations side of the business and served as the point person for the company. They continued to cross paths through various organizations and events and finally, in mid 2016, the stars aligned.
Fast forward a couple of years to the day Andreas asked Zoë to marry him. Andreas checked the weather and saw that the upcoming Wednesday (June 6, 2018) was predicted to produce temperatures in the low 70s. Excited about this possibility to sit outside at a restaurant they’d been wanting to try, Andreas asked Zoë if they should make reservations at Milestone 229 that evening. Zoë reluctantly agreed after coordinating her homework schedule around the evening (she’s a badass grad student. Anyone who has gone to grad school knows what that homework schedule is like!). They parked on the West side of COSI and walked toward the Scioto Mile. It was just before sunset and the weather could not have been more perfect. As they got to the edge of the bridge, they took in the incredible skyline of the city. When Zoë turned around, Andreas was down on one knee telling Zoë he had never had more fun with anyone else and asking if he could be her biggest supporter and spend the rest of their lives together. Zoë (obviously) excitingly accepted and they celebrated over a delicious meal at Milestone 229.
