Whitney and Victor’s Arena District engagement photos are the best example of class turned rocker that I can imagine! What started out as a beautiful couple dressed to the nines, ended with a rocker couple who snuck into a closed music venue with me. And, I loved every second of it!
Whitney and Victor actually grew up in the same town, about two hours outside of Columbus. Describing their relationship as adventurous and mutually agreeing that their ideal of the perfect date is staying the weekend in a new city, exploring all it has to offer, I totally understand how awesome their proposal story is.
Victor invited Whitney to a weekend in Columbus. They enjoyed a Broadway show and then went to the Arena District for some drinks and late night snacks. As they were walking through the city, Victor asked Whitney to cross the street. Once they crossed, Whitney looked back to see Victor down on one knee under a lamp post holding Whitney’s dream ring in his hand (and that dream ring looks so much like mine…we’re soulmates!).
Their Arena District Engagement Photos
All of the places we visited for their Arena District engagement photos are meaningful to them and their relationship.
We started in the pedestrian alley near the Columbus Blue Jackets arena. It’s an area full of restaurants and bars and an area where Whitney and Victor have spent time eating, drinking and listening to music.
After getting some beautiful shots there with the lingering fall color, we crossed the street to the exact spot where Victor proposed. What looked to be an ordinary parking garage actually turned out to be one of my favorite locations ever! I love the shots we got there.
We then had a wardrobe change and headed to Express Live, where Whitney and Victor have seen many shows. Victor is a musician and Whitney is a music lover, so it only made sense that we hit up Columbus’ best music venue for some shots. As it turns out, the place was closed, but the gates were open, so in we snuck! I love my adventurous couples 🙂
We finished up the session with a quick drink on a patio in the Arena District. It was the perfect ending to their epic Arena District engagement photos!
Whitney and Victor: thank you for choosing me to give you the photos you’ve been wanting for so long! I so wish I could spend your wedding day with you. I wish you a beautiful wedding, a happy marriage, and an adventure filled life together!
